Lack Of Resources Affecting Police Work In Krachi Nchumuru

The Traditional Ruler of Beiyando Kakraka in the Krachi Nchumuru District of the newly created Oti region, Nana Kuyon Bikanyi, has appealed to President Nana Akuffo Addo and the Krachi Nchumuru District Assembly to provide an additional vehicle, especially, pick - up to the police service in other to promote peace and security for the people leaving within the district.

According to him, Oti Region is considered as one of the flash point areas in the country and for that matter inadequate police equipment such as vehicle poses a threat to their security.

He said, the government should prioritize matters relating to security to ensure the safety of the people.

Nana Kuyon Bikanyi made this appeal in a speech read of his behalf by the former District Chief Executive for Krachi Nchumuru who happens to be his son on the climax of their Annual Ndipuandaan festival.

He thanked the government for the salon car given to the police commander for his official duties.

Torching oh health he said,"Lack of a health facility in the Bitimae Electoral Areal deprived some of our people of accessible healthcare services. Residents of Namondo and other distance communities in the Electoral Area find it difficult to access health services due to the distance from those communities to either Chinderi or Zongo Macheri where health facilities are available.

He therefore, made a passionate appeal to the district Assembly to the consider construction of CHIPS compound in Kakraka .

Nana Kuyon in addition requested for a six(6) unity class room black to accommodate the increasing number of pupils at the primary level. One of the major problems facing the community is the deteriorating condition of the Nkpabere Bridge near Zongo Macheri and Boafri through Chinderi to Nandikrom road continue to hinder the easy movement of people, goods and services within the district.

The festival is annually celebrated by Konkomba's to signify the end of the harvest of Guinea corn and usher in Pito brewed with the newly harvested Guinea corn.

The crop is said to be special to all Konkomba's due to its social culture significant; during marriages, funerals, communal and even spiritual activities. The crop contains protein, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals (including calcium phosphorus and potassium).

He also congratulates all the people of Oti enclave for massive voting during the just ended referendum.

Nana Mprah therefore, appealed to the president to choose competent, selfless and dedicated leaders into the various positions to manage the affairs of the region without any fear or favour to help Oti region become one of the best region in the country.
