The exercise formed part of the annual charity event undertaken by the organization to support the less privilege in society and enable to enjoy the Christmas and new year festivities as others would.

The donation was sponsored by friends and donors on the Gofundme platform as well as local Ghanaian philanthropists.

The organization, which is led by two sisters, Wendy and Antoinette, has as a target, to support orphanages, mental homes and psychiatric facilities, street children and other philanthropic projects.

The team’s long-term project for the home is to build a vocational skill center on the premises of the home where inmates will get to learn a skill to make a living.

Last year, the organization made a similar donation to the Home, whose inmates have been abandoned by their families.

The founder and caretaker of the home, Habiba Fuseini, who has also been abandoned by her friends and family for her work which they say is an unprofitable venture, expressed appreciation for the support.

She also appealed to other NGOs and philanthropists to come to the aid of the facility, adding that they require assistance from health professionals and pharmacies.
