The Tempane Senior High School in the Upper East Region has been closed down indefinitely, following agitations from students, for the re-instatement of their suspended Headmaster, Dominic Ndegu Amolale. The Students boycotted their end of term exams and refused to participate in any school activity until the headmaster is re-instated.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) suspended the headmaster of Tempane Senior High School, Dominic Ndegu Amolale following a viral video which captured the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Joshua Akamba, interacting with students of the School.

The video captured the students complaining bitterly to Mr Joshua Akamba about their living conditions in the school, the congestion in the various dormitories leading to the outbreak of bed buds and bemoaned the reckless nature in which the noble free Senior High School programme is being implemented by the Akuffo Addo led government.

The Suspension of the headmaster was preceded by threats from the National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Member of Parliament for the area, Henry Nana Boakye and Joseph Dinkiok Kpemka respectively.

The students of the school have since appealed to the authorities of the school and the Ghana Education Service to re-instate their Suspended Headmaster, since they believe he did no wrong and was being accused falsely.

They resorted to boycotting their end of term examination and all school activities, since their appeals weren't yielding any positive results.

They have vowed not to enter their classrooms again, until Mr Dominic Ndegu is re-instated.
