In its quest to help feed 800 – 1000 people on the streets of Accra and other parts of the country with good food, Daily Food producers of Boss Baker has collaborated with Food For All Africa to observe the maiden edition of National Pastry Day on Saturday 8th December 2018 at Daily Food Industrial Bakery premises, North Industrial area – Accra.

The event is centered on charity and encouraging the Ghanaians to consume healthy pastry products.

According to the Managing Director of Daily Food Mr. Geoffrey Fadoul, National Pastry Day is an event many Ghanaians do not know it exists but DailyFood, Boss Baker and Food For All are delighted to announce that this event will be celebrated annually in Ghana.

He added that, celebration of National Pastry Day is not about DailyFood, Boss Baker but is about celebrating with the people who don’t not have the means to celebrate to sustainable means of nutrition.

He however added that, next year, he will make sure his outfit will bring more companies on board to enable them celebrate or mark the day bigger in a grand style by giving more to the needy.

On his part, Founder of Food For All Africa, Chef Elijah Amoo Addo revealed that,one out of four children in Ghana actually go to bed without food at a time 45% of food is being wasted along the food supply chain.

He added, “We are much grateful to Daily Food and Boss Bakers for deciding to join the Food for All Africa vision to create sustainable means of nutrition for the needy in Africa through food recovery,redistribution and skills empowerment. They wouldn't just be feeding the vulnerable but their staff will on regular basis sacrifice their time to share food products for the vulnerable on the streets of Accra and other parts of the country.”

Director of Non-Governmental Organisation’s (NGO’s) at the Departments of Social Welfare, Mr. Stephen Dombo highly praised Boss Baker, Food For All for the brilliant initiative they have taken to support the vulnerable on the streets.

Every week 300 venerable people on the streets of Accra and other parts of the country can have access to food products of the biggest pastry company in Ghana for free.

As part of the celebration, Daily Food, Boss Baker, and Food for All donated some products to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital and the Accra Rehabilitation centre.
