Mr Agyemang said farmers needed a skills-set to improve their operations, hence the decision to award scholarships to their wards to study programmes in agricultural to help sustain their operations.

He said government was committed to sustaining these scholarships, adding, 'As we speak, the government has paid up to the end of this year so there are no scholarship arrears both locally and abroad.'
