Fire Volunteers Should Work Hard To Reduce Bush Burning--Mce,nkoranza South

The Municipal Chief Executive for Nkoranza South, Hon. Diana Attaa-Kusiwaa addressing the people of Nkoranza South on 34th Annual Farmers Day Celebration which was themed as " Agriculture: Moving Ghana Beyond Aid" said, the Government seeks to use agriculture as a catalyst to propel Ghana to the level we all shall be proud of.

According to Madam Diana Attaa-Kusiwaa (Hon), the introduction of the "Planting for Food and Jobs Policy " is playing a major role in this process. She then commends all the stakeholders for the success chalked so far on the planting for Food and Jobs Policy, and moreover, commends the Municipal Director of Agriculture and Staff and all the Farmers across the Municipality for the support they have given the programme.

The Municipal Chief Executive announced to the people of the municipality more especially the farmers, In 2019, Government intend to reach out to over 500,000 farmers under the Planting for Food and Jobs Policy programme.

On the 27th December 2018, the Electoral Commission of Ghana will organize a Referendum on the creation of the new region, Bono East in all affected areas hinted to the general public at the 34th Annual Farmers Day at Bonsu in the Nkoranza South Municipality.

Hon. Diana Attaa-Kusiwaa saluted NANANOM and the people of the Bono East Committee for the efforts so far for bring many advantages of the creation of the Region, therefore appealing to everyone to get involved, LET US ALL GO OUT AND VOTE " YES on 27th December 2018 for the creation of the Bono East Region.

MCE finally awarded the Ghana Fire Service a brown new motorbike, protection boot's, cutlasses and raincoats for their good work they have putting up within 2018.

She urged the service to do well to protect properties and lives in the Nkoranza South Municipality that will be a better reward to them.

Mr Denis Amenga Abugri, the Director of Agriculture made a notice to further make extension services readily available to farmers, about 35 personal has been posted to the department of agriculture under the FEED GHANA model of the NATION BUILDERS CORE(NABCO)

He, therefore, said it is the team spirit that won Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly the first position in the whole country, in local economic development by the LGS.

Mr.Denis said it is indeed by the same team spirit that the department of agriculture has presented a candidate to contest the overall national best farmer for the 2018 edition of the National Farmers Day celebration currently took in Tamale.

He also thanked the people of Nkoranza not leaving the farmers and encouraged them to be the best.
