Take appropriate steps to provide farmers with requisite logistics to achieve right yields - NDC

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem of the Western Region has called on the government to take the appropriate steps to provide farmers in the country with the requisite logistics and the right technology that could aid them to achieve the right yields with it associated economic and financial returns.

The Day was celebrated across all the District Assemblies in the country on Friday, December 7, 2018, which was on the general theme: “Agriculture, Moving Ghana beyond Aid".

In a good-will message signed on behalf of the party by its Constituency Secretary, George Gadd indicated "The NDC appreciates your strife and commitment towards improving the socio-economic livelihoods of the citizens of Ghana whiles working gallantly to meet the dietary needs of the nation".

He added "The NDC appreciates and recognises your efforts in attaining food sufficiency in the face of the current acute economic hardships and logistical constraints being endured under the super incompetent Akufu Addo-Bawumia government".

He emphasized "The NDC in government introduced several agriculture-friendly interventions such as the establishment of the Agriculture Mechanisation Centres, Free Supply of Fertilizers to Cocoa farmers, the establishment of the National Buffer Stock Company, the construction of Fish Processing Factory at Elimina, the construction of cold stores and storage facilities in our major fishing harbours etc".

He, therefore, pledged that the future NDC government would continue to support hardworking farmers and fishermen by providing them with the needed logistical and technical support.

"The future NDC government that will assume the administration of this country on 7th January, 2021, shall continue to support our hard-working farmers and fishermen by building their capacities whiles providing them with the needed logistical and technical support", he opined.

TARKWA NSUAEM NDC CONGRATULATES FARMERS IN AND AROUND TARKWA NSUAEM MUNICIPALITY AND GHANA IN GENERAL.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency under the leadership of Mr. Ralph Setorwofia wishes to congratulate all farmers within the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality and beyond on the occasion of the celebration of the 2018 farmers Day.

The NDC appreciates and recognises your efforts in attaining food sufficiency in the face of the current acute economic hardships and logistical constraints being endured under the super incompetent Akufu Addo-Bawumia government.

The NDC appreciates your strife and commitment towards improving the socio-economic livelihoods of the citizens of Ghana whiles working gallantly to meet the dietary needs of the nation.

The NDC, in recognising your efforts instituted the Farmers Day celebration under the former president Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings's government to appreciate and recognise your enomouse contributions towards the attainment of economic advancement of this country.

The NDC in government introduced several agriculture-friendly interventions such as the establishment of the Agriculture Mechanisation Centres, Free Supply of Fertilizers to Cocoa farmers, the establishment of the National Buffer Stock Company, the construction of Fish Processing Factory at Elimina, the construction of cold stores and storage facilities in our major fishing harbours etc.

The NDC in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency wishes to call on the government to take the appropriate steps to providing our farmers with the requisite logistics and the right technology that can aid our hard-working farmers to achieve the right yields with it associated economic and financial returns.

We also wish to call on the government to put in place the necessary market structures and the construction of modern storage facilities that can guarantee our hard-working farmers the right prices for their yields and for the storage of their produce in the event of bumper harvest.

The future NDC government that will assume the administration of this country on 7th January, 2021, shall continue to support our hard-working farmers and fishermen by building their capacities whiles providing them with the needed logistical and technical support.

We shall continue to introduce interventions that will positively affect the lives of our farmers and fishermen and to support them realise their full potentials so they can contribute effectively in building the nation.
