Man attempts to rape friend’s wife

A native of Dunkwa Asikuma in the central region is currently in a hot soup following an alleged attempt to rape the wife of his friend, Patricia Miah. Nicholas Amoako allegedly sneaked into the room of the friend's wife at about 11PM on the 29th October 2005 and attempted to forcibly have sex with Madam Patricia Miah.

Narrating her ordeal to our correspondent in Dunkwa, Madam Miah said for sometime now, Nicholas Amoako has consistently been making advances at her anytime the husband was away. In furtherance of his diabolical ambitions, Patricia Miah said Nich! olas Amoako promised to give her an amount of ¢500,000, should she agree to his proposal of having a sexual affair.

Patricia said on the day in question she had entered the room from the bathroom half naked when she suddenly saw blackout in the room. Convinced that, it was an act of the E.C.G, she began to look for her lantern. Suddenly, she fell that somebody had grabbed her in the dark warning her not to make any noise. As the struggle ensued, Patricia alleged that Nicholas inserted the fingers in her private part. She then raised an alarm drawing the attention of neighbours who immediately came to her rescue and handed over Nicholas to the police.

Nicholas Amoako on his part told the police that he had gone to the house to demand an amount of ¢400,000 owed him by complainant's husband who had persistently refused to pay the debt. He also alleged that complainant Patricia rather invited him to the house to collect the money from the husband who had reportedly arrived. Upon rea! ching the house, Nicholas said he was just attacked by some unknown neighbours who allegedly assaulted and stripped him naked, before handing him over to the police.
