Mfantseman East and Etsi Mokwa Constituencies in Twifu-Heman-Lower Denkyira Districts were the only constituencies won by NDC in the Central Region in the 2004 parliamentary election.

The officers retained at the delegates conference at Ekumfi Essarkyir included Mr Kuntu Takyi, Chairman, Kwame Nkrumah, Vice-Chairman, Fiifi Essuman, Secretary, Moses Acquah, Organiser, Angelina Okine, Women's Organiser, Nana Kwame Essuon, Propaganda Secretary and Emmanuel Okyebi-Andam Assistant Organiser. Nana Alex Asamoah, Western Regional Chairman of the party commended the executives for retaining their positions and appealed to them not to get complacent but to work harder to win more seats in 2880.
