Birim South DCE assures private schools of support.

Akim Oda, Nov 16, GNA - Mr Frank Kwame Busumtwi, the Birim South District Chief Executive, has told private schools that the government was not neglecting them He said the government would encourage and assist them to provide quality education and expressed optimism that a time would come when privileges public schools enjoy would be extended to them.

Mr Busumtwi was speaking at a quiz competition on the constitution organized by the District office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) among some schools at Akim Oda on Wednesday. Hecta JSS bagged 96 points to win the first position with Affafuah Education Academy (AEA) scoring 90 points to take the second position. Mr Bosomtwi advised the students to impress on their parents to register with the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme to enable them to have access to quality health care.

Mrs Stella Nanor, the District Director of Education, commended the participants on their high performance and urged them to keep it up. All the participating schools were presented with prizes.
