GFA invites evidence

...on alleged bribery in Kotoko/RTU match Accra, Nov 9, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has called on individuals who have concrete proof to support their claims of the alleged incident of bribery in the Real Tamale United (RTU) and Kumasi Asante Kotoko match, which ended abruptly at the Kaladan Park last Sunday.

A statement signed by Mr Kwaku Ampem-Darko, Deputy General Secretary Technical of the GFA said the Professional League Board (PLB) would only entertain incontrovertible information that has credible data.

The statement said the reason to invite individuals to submit evidence stem from the Graphic publication on the RTU/Kotoko league match, which appeared in the Tuesday, November 8 issue, alleging match fixing by the two clubs.

It said anybody with such valuable information should submit it to the PLB Secretariat at the GFA Office at South-East Ridge personally or through Fax number 021-668590.

Last Sunday, the 29th week GT Premier League match between RTU and Kotoko at the Tamale Kaladan Park ended abruptly after fans believed of the home team invaded the pitch to attack the referee for what they termed bad officiating.

The match, which before the pitch invasion was goalless, could not be continued as the referee deemed the situation unsafe.
