Accra, Nov. 2, GNA - The Osu Traditional Council on Wednesday came to the aid of the National Union of Ghana Students by offering them two buildings to choose from and use one as an office and thus ending the hunger strike threat.

NUGS on Wednesday embarked on a hunger strike because the Civil Service ejected them from the GFA building that served as their Secretariat.

Mr Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, NUGS President, told the GNA that the Council after hearing of their plight came to their aid this morning and asked them to come and inspect the two buildings, which have to be renovated.

He said NUGS said the location of the building would be made known after it had finished with all arrangements with the Council. Mr Ablakwa commended the Council for the assistance. Meanwhile, NUGS continued to display their office equipment of computer, photocopier machine, furniture and other items in front of their former office opposite the taxi rank at the Ministries.
