Enter agreement with states over professionals -VC

Winneba (C/R), Oct. 30, GNA - The Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba Professor Jophus Anamuah-Mensah has called on government to go into contractual agreement with countries like the United State of America (USA), Britain, France and Germany in the export of health professionals as a means of creating human resource business for the country.

This, he said, would help the nation to generate more resources to enable it to train more nurses and doctors, both for the nation and the world community.

Prof. Anamuah-Mensah said this at a day's capacity workshop organized by the University for its Regional and District Alumni Coordinators drawn from the Central, Northern, Ashanti and the Greater Accra Region at the University of Education, Winneba at Winneba on Friday. The 24 participants they were taken through Leadership Skills, Marketing and Communication, Alumni Relations and Fund Raising Fundamentals.

Prof. Anamuah-Mensah emphasized that the nation needed to derive means of moving into other income generating ventures like the export of good human resource personnel as the developed country's continue to entice them with well-packaged incentives.

Mr. Bernard B.B. Bingab from the Office of the Alumni of the University of Education, Winneba charged the participants to develop positive relations with colleagues in other to help them register more people for the Alumni Office.

Mr. Bingab urged them to network their programmes and activities so as to enable the Alumni Office to communicate with them effectively, adding that ones the three Campuses of the University is were hooked on the internet, channels of communication would be enhanced.

The Assistant Registrar at the Publications Unit, Mr. Bruno Chirani also called on the participants to increase awareness and influence others who were not ready to join the Alumni.

He said, "marketing a human institution is directed at satisfying the required desire of each and every one through understanding the vision that established the University."
