Cape Coast, Oct. 24, GNA - A magistrate's court at Cape Coast, on Monday, remanded Ato Davies, a 38-year old mason, for allegedly threatening his wife with death on suspicion of infidelity. Davies pleaded not guilty to threat of death and causing damage and will be re-arraigned on November 21.

Police Chief Inspector Augustine Amonoo told the court presided over by Mr Beresford Acquah that at about 1830 hours last Tuesday, Davies who lived with the wife at Apewosika, near the University of Cape Coast, threatened to kill her with a knife, after repeatedly accusing her of being unfaithful.

He said in the process, Davies who was restrained from doing so, destroyed bananas worth 300,000 cedis, which his wife had stored for sale, and the matter was reported to the Police.
