KMA Registers 1500 NABCO Trainees

The Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Osei Asibbey Antwi, has disclosed the Assembly has so far registered over thousand five hundred (1,500) trainees under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) .

The KMA boss said the Revenue Ghana model registered four hundred and three (403) trainees, the highest among the seven model followed by Civic Ghana with two hundred and twenty-seven (227) trainees whilst the Heal Ghana model according to him had the lowest with forty-one registered (41) trainees.

He noted that all the trainees are expected to start work in the Kumasi metropolis soon after they have fully completed their registration processes.

Mr. Osei Asibbey revealed this at the opening of an orientation session organized by the assembly for selected NABCO trainees on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at the CLOGSAG hall in Adum. He urged all selected trainees under the NABCO to demonstrate high level of integrity, discipline and honesty in their line of duty.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday May 1, 2018 launched the NABCO in Kumasi as an initiative by the government to employ hundred thousand (100,000) unemployed graduates in the country.

The programme according to the president operate seven modules designed to meet the pressing needs of the nation, while providing jobs for the teeming youth who have received tertiary education but are struggling to find jobs.

The beneficiaries will be engaged for three years, and they are expected to earn a monthly stipend of seven hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢700) each.

The modules are Feed Ghana, Educate Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Heal Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, Digitise Ghana and Governance Ghana.
