Househelp Wanted For stealing Master’s Diamond, Money

An Accra District Magistrate Court has issued a bench warrant for the immediate arrest of 42-year-old Cabigovel Maria Teresa Cabiera for stealing her master's diamond and money.

Cabigovel Maria Teresa Cabiera is said to have stolen 2 kilogrammes of diamond and a cash of $148,000 from her master's room and bolted when the master had travelled.

A warrant of arrest issued by the court has indicated that the complainant is a businessman residing at Westland, Accra, while suspect Teresa Cabiera, a Philippine national, is a househelp.

During the month of July 2018, the complainant travelled for a few days and left the house in the care of the suspect.

Cabigovel Maria Teresa Cabiera, who is fair in colour with a black hair and about 5.4 feet tall, took advantage of her master's absence, broke into his room and stole the diamond and money.

She is believed to be hiding at Westland, Haatso or Achimota.
