Since the announcement of the construction of a dam at Pwalugu to deal with the Bagre Dam spillage, majority of the public have welcomed the initiative.

It is in this vein, that Eric Amoako Twum, a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team has stated that the Pwalugu dam project coming up should serve as a catalyst for a multi sectoral grand marshal plan for the Northern parts of Ghana.

According to him, government should focus on large scale irrigation for agriculture agro processing, technology, youth training for employment and poverty eradication.

In a nut shell, he posited that all agencies, ministries and other stakeholders should plug in and build their strategies to create a synergy.

He was optimistic that Pwalugu Dam will go a long way to impact positively on the lives of the people.
