Turkish Ambassador to Ghana, Nesrin Bayazit, has appealed to government, through the Ministry of Aviation, to consider Turkish Airlines as one of the suitable companies to establish the proposed airline for Ghana.

Ambassador Bayazit, whose tenure in Ghana is expected to end soon, made the call when she paid a courtesy call on Minister of Aviation, Kofi Adda at his office on Wednesday in Accra.

She stated that Turkish Airlines is the largest airline operating in Africa, flying to more than 50 destinations.

He stressed that Turkish Airlines was in the position to help Ghana to launch its airline.

She also indicated that the Turkish government was considering transacting more business in Ghana.

The Ambassador reiterated that a Turkish company constructed the state-of-the-art Terminal 3.

Mr. Adda, on his part, pointed out that more airlines could be considered in the establishment of the country's carrier.

He also told the Ambassador that Ghana is ready to increase its trading with the Government of Turkey in the field of aviation.

Ghana is making plans to secure an airline, and a number of countries have expressed interest.
