Taxing Churches Can Be Illigal And Ungodly - PIRAN-Gh

Tax charges on incomes, profits, properties among other sources has been a major source of income to government all over the world, but in recent times commercialization of the gospel has assume alarming concerns that has necessitated calls for churches to be taxed for the huge money they make out of deceit and exploitation of the people that seek their services for solutions to their lives problems and challenges.

The morality concept of taxation is that, the incomes from unlawful activities such as armed robbery, gambling, prostitution among others cannot be taxed and wish to cautioned government before any final decision to taxed some of the churches with questionable ways of exploiting church goers for their money in the form of tight, offertory, consultation fee, sales of items for direction and the and the rest.

Taxing churches with ungodly and illegal ways of making money, in our view are same as the money raised from prostitution, armed robbery and gambling and cannot be legally right and wish to advice government to refrain taxing churches whose modus operandi is not in line and cannot be aligned with standard church practices.

It will therefore be appropriate if Government through the Christian council to sort out the good churches from the bad ones for taxation and living the ungodly churches to keep their unwholesome and illegal money to themselves.

If the state cannot tax bad people in bad businesses, it cannot as well not tax bad churches doing the church work for wrongful exploitation and extortion of its members,

The framers of our tax laws might have considered the spiritual and moral implications before exempting certain incomes, properties and services from tax and hence the need for government to be tactful in its quest to tax all churches wholesale.
