Savelugu Basic Schools Get Learning Materials Support From Izwe Savings And Loans

Izwe Savings and Loans has distributed 100,000 exercise books and other learning materials to some selected basic schools in Twelve (12) districts nationwide including the Savelugu Municipality in the Northern Region.

Also pupils reporting to school on the first day were given drinks and biscuits to encourage their stay in the classroom.

This annual gesture forms part of the financial institution’s Corporate Social Responsibility aimed at increasing enrollment in basic schools.

In the Northern Region, hundreds of 13 basic school pupils in the Savelugu Municipality benefited from the package.

Staff of Izwe Savings and Loans led by the Northern Ghana Area Manager, William Majeed Mahama supervised the exercise.

William Majeed Mahama inspired the beneficiaries to be punctual at school and obey their teachers.

He said the institution will continue to support government’s efforts to make education affordable and accessible to all.

According to him, customer loyalty remained the institution’s major priority.

“Izwe recently introduced tailor-made products including the cash-saver and car for cash products in response to our customer needs.”

The sales Manager of Tamale branch of Izwe, Abdulai Ukashia said, “Izwe recently reduced our rates and I urge the government workers to patronize our products.”

Management of the Savelugu Municipal Education Directorate commended Izwe Savings and Loans for the continuos support.

Izwe Savings and Loans is a subsidiary of Izwe African Holdings incorporated in Mauritius, and has presence in Ghana, Zambia and Kenya among others.
