Nii Tetteh Oglie II, Kpone Nmlitsakpo Mantse, has appealed to government to provide the town with a Senior High school, market and good roads to make life more comfortable for the people.

Nii Oglie made the appeal in an interview with Ghana News Agency at Kpone, near Tema on Monday.

He said his main worry was the bad nature of the Michel Camp-Kpone road, saying that, several appeals to government over the years to have the road rehabilitated had fallen on deaf ears.

'I have made several appeals to the Member of Parliament for the area, and other stake holders to have the road rehabilitated but to no avail', he said, adding that, if the road was rehabilitated, 'it would help boost economic activities in the area.'

Nii Oglie also appealed to government to stop the Tema Development Corporation (TDC), from selling the lands in the area, which had been earmarked for development projects.

He said through his own resources, he had been able to provide the town with electricity, re-gravelled some of the roads and built a CHPS Compound and expressed the hope that government would come to their aid to improve the standard of living in the town.

On the free Senior-High School double track system, Nii Oglie called for more education to enable parents to understand the system.
