The Public Relations Officer of the FIFA/CAF liaison team, Dan Kweku Yeboah has denied reports that Kwadwo Asamoah has suffered an injury on training grounds in Addis Ababa where the team is based.

Reports went viral that the former Juventus star has suffered an injury ahead of the clash on Saturday.

Head coach of the team, Kwesi Appiah in an interview with Ethiopian freelance journalist Omna Taddele Gebru said, "He had a small injury. Just that I don't want to put a problem for him to make it worse.

"It is important we treat it and then he trains slowly," Kwesi Appiah told freelance Ethiopian journalist Omna Taddele Gebru.

But Dan Kweku Yeboah in an interview with Kumasi based Oyerepa FM said, "Ghanaians should not panic there's no situation, it's not true Kwadwo Asamoah is injured," he said.

"He only took precaution to sit out some few minutes to end of training to put ice on his knee which was precautionary.

"He's not injured. He is fit and ready to play on Saturday," he added.

Asamoah has started the Serie A campaign strongly starting all of Inter Milan's three league games but this represents the latest reverse against the player's return to selection and is expected to be fit for the Kenya game.

The 29-year-old last played for the Black Stars against Portugal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where Ghana lost 2-1 to exit the tournament.
