Ghanaians in Cape Verde Grateful

12.10.2005 LISTEN
By Tony Parker Danso

On behalf of the Ghanaian Community in Cape Verde and on my own behalf, I would like to say a big "YEDA MO ASE" to the Black Stars under the able captain Appiah, the Technical Team under Coach Ratomir, untiring and humble manager Opoku Afiriyie, the GFA under the capable Kwasi Nyantakyi and his men - Fred Pappoe, Owuahene Acheampong, the sponsors - Goldfields with dedicated men like Neil Armstrong, Alhaji Bamed, the Foreign Ministry represented by Ambassadors Alhaji Sharrif of Guniea-Conakry and Frederick Laryea of Senegal and their Minister-Counsellors, the Government by Hon. Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Hon. Minister of Education and Sports Yaw Osafo-Maafo himself.

They have indeed made us proud! The Ghanaians in Cape Verde are few BUT were privileged to celebrate the Star's qualification first hand. The strains and stress we all went through before, during and after the match in Cape Verde are incomparable to the victory, the success and satisfaction that the Star's triumph has given us! Every Ghanaian on this planet should contribute, no matter how small it may be, his or her quota to help the National Team to win more victories! MAY GOD BLESS OUR HOMELAND GHANA! YEDE MO ASE!
