Ahead of the world clean up on September 15, 2018, Let’s Do It Ghana, a non-governmental organisation committed to environmental activities, on August 18, 2018 partnered with the Decathlon, a sports oriented organisation with the aim of making the planet clean to undertake a cleanup exercise at the Titanic beach on the Tema beach road.

This move was to create awareness towards the 15th September, 2018 World Clean Up exercise and also to instill the discipline of making sanitation an everyday thing.

Speaking at the cleanup, Abigail Dzamesi, the leader of Decathlon delegation was optimistic that making sanitation an everyday thing is possible however education and sensitization must be encouraged to inspire each and every one to take part in daily clean up exercises whether under supervision or not.

She called on all environs around the Tema, Nungua, Sakumono etc to join hands for an effective clean up at the Coco beach on 15th September, 2018

Also present at the cleanup were some leaders and volunteers from Let’s Do It Ghana whose commitment attracted other people at the beach to join the cleanup.
