Head of Corporate Communications at the Ghana Post Company, Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, has entreated Ghanaians not to wait for Ghana Post staff to come and generate their digital addresses but rather seek help from family and friends who equally know how to generate the Digital Addresses.

The Ghana Post Company has began tagging of properties and buildings as well as the generation of digital addresses across the country.

According to her, those who can generate the Digital Addresses themselves should take up the task by doing it on their own as well as helping others out.

"We would like to urge family and friends who are familiar with how the Ghana Post GPS works to help their people generate their own digital addresses, even though Ghana Post is currently doing door-to-door," she said.

Kobi Hemaa, who is currently on a media sensitization campaign across the country educating the public on the Digital Address system Ghana Post GPS, described the door-to-door campaign as so far so good, producing remarkable response and downloads.

The Digital Address system is providing an effective means of addressing every location and property to facilitate the implementation of key government policies and business transactions.

Ghana Post therefore encourages citizens who have not yet generated digital address for their homes and offices to do so.

Ghana Post field agents are generating digital addresses for everyone and tagging properties for individuals and organizations upon request.

The general public is hereby informed that generation of the digital address is free, but tagging of properties attracts a fee ranging between GHC50 and GHC100.
