What Do You Count In Church?—Dr. Hill Asks Pastors
17.08.2018 LISTEN

When pastors and church leaders were asked at a leadership conference in Kumasi, Ghana, 'what do you count on your worship days', many of the attendants thought it is supposed to be just one-tithes and offerings.

After a lot of whispering and soliloquizing, and the speaker began explaining certain needs of a leader that lasts, it was clear that most of the attendants had the answer wrong.

Dr. Bobby Hill who is a Professor at Regent University in the United States of America and a preacher for over 45 years has been speaking at the Leaders that Last Conference at the House of Faith Ministries Worldwide in Kumasi, and for the depth of information and education he is imparting to the people, needs more to be physically present than read.

Dr. Hill told the attendants that what the pastors and church leaders are supposed to be counting during or after worship starts from seating.

He explained every leader who really wants to know the health of his church always wants to know the number of people who were in church not for offering purposes but to know how healthy or not his church is becoming. Again, a leader that lasts alway wants to known the difference between the members and the guests who who were present in church, to enable him know the work he has to do in getting many people from the crowd part to the congregation part of his church.

He however noted that knowing how much tithes and offerings was offered is not out of order, since money is needed in carrying out many assignments in the church.

One mistake most pastors do he pointed, is when they attempt to grow the church from inside, 'the church is best grown from the outside and not from the inside'.

"We always need to know that the people in the church need to be grown from every area of the church to make them all go a step further till they get to the point of commissioning, that is when you can say your church is a healthy church but not just having thousands of people.

...The success of the church is not based on seating capacity but based on sending capacity." He counseled.

He also advised pastors and church leaders to always ensure that their purpose is clear to everyone to be able to examine the church regularly by it.

Dr. Hill's deep information and education about ministry is one of many others being received by attendants of the Leaders that Last 2018 edition.

The conference is hosted by Reverend Alfred Nyamekye, a committed and dedicate Man of God who has been deeply involved in Evangelism and Missions for over 40 years.

His passion for the lost and needy is easily seen whenever he speaks, arousing interests in young preachers to get to that field and win or preserve souls for Christ.

The ceremony will be crowned on Friday with presentation of certificates after other thrilling sessions from Rev. Nyamekye and his long time freind and brother in Ministry Dr. Bobby Hill.
