Any vigilance on the Ghanaian Trans-Atlantic Coastline?

Any vigilance on the Ghanaian Trans-Atlantic Coastline?
30.07.2018 LISTEN

Folks, a friend and I have just been putting two and two together to arrive at the conclusion that something sinister must be afoot as far as the connivance of the Akufo-Addo government and the Trump administration to establish a United States military base in Ghana is concerned.

We have noted the arrival of 800 YS troops in Ghana in the past few days and the noisome noise made by the outgoing US Ambassador that painted the NDC black in its stance.

A bigger picture, though, is the ban that the Minister of Fisheries has imposed on marine fishing in August that has been given political twists. Those fisherfolks in the NPP camp are willing to sidestep their professional career and are anxiously blaming the NDC for fomenting trouble.

Genuine fisherfolks who know that they are nothing without pursuing their chosen occupation see things from a wider angle and won't allow political interests to turn them upside down.

Those of us seeing things from a wider angle are on our feet. We are ready to see beyond the surface.

Here is our take. The ban on fishing is meant to create a big room for the movement of US "material" to land on Ghana. The landing if 800 soldiers a day or two ago is just the first step.

We are strongly persuaded by evidence of hindsight on how the US operates in countries with the kind of continental shelf that Ghana has; and we can say that the shipment and landing if equipment on Ghana's shores to support the US's establishment of a military base in Ghana is on course to be done within this period that fishing in the marine area has been imposed by the Akufo-Addo government.

The sticky point is that the government wants to black out everything. Some feelings are that the US marines have begun arriving on Ghana’s coasts, using the sophisticated approaches to outwit local intelligence. What this manouevre means is nothing to toy with. Whether true or not, something must be done to ensure that Ghanaians are not overtaken by events, especially placing the security of the country under a United Party/NPP administration that connived with the United States’ CIA to overthrown the progressive Nkrumah administration. What is unfolding now is a clear image. Ghana must not be sold out so cheaply (just6 for 20 million Dollars for the US to dominate under Akufo-Addo?)

Then, this same government goes to China to look for billions of Dollars in an attempt to rebuild Ghana under the barter system? Why complicate matters this way, knowing very well the rivalry going on between China and the USD under the misguided Trump administration? Why should Akufo-Addo push Ghana under the wheel to be ground into powder?

I urge Ghanaians to wake up to monitor happenings at the beaches. There must be something afoot to which all must be alerted and mobilized to ward off. Interestingly, none is talking about equipping our Navy tio do more than it has been able to do thus far. The US has “Marines”, not the kind of “Navy” that Ghana has. Much explains the huge differences between both.

With much vigilance, anything happening under cover can be quickly uncovered and dealt with. Ghana can do better without the 20 million-dollar pittance for which Akufo-Addo has mortgaged its security.

Folks, the future of our country beckons. Only bold ones like us can say it and stick our necks out for the consequences.

At 74 years or more, the unconscionable and insensitive Akufo-Addos have nothing to offer for the future security of Ghana when they are gone.

Only those who know how to read deeper meanings into happenings can go where I am moving the discourse.

I shall return...
