The management of Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence has shown delight in all the six academy players that were invited for trials in Qatar recently. The players exhibited splendid performance when Aspire triumph over their rival 3-0 last Sunday in a friendly encounter.

The win was historic since Aspire has recorded their first win over their opponents ever since Aspire academy was formed with the inclusion of AshGold Academy players.

According to the CEO of AshantiGold, Capt. Andy Sam who was the head of delegation, “The boys have done medical tests and other sociological and physiological tests and we are awaiting the results. They played their first match last Sunday and helped Aspire win 3-0 against a team they had never beaten. The boys performed well and they generated a lot of excitement amongst the staff and other parents who came to watch. They have done well in their training sessions and would play their final trial match this afternoon against a much stronger opposition”.

Meanwhile the parents and officials are expected in the country tomorrow Friday 30th September 2005.
