Agona Nkwanta (W/R), Sept 27, GNA - Thirty-six youths in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region were on Monday presented with working tools and cheques worth 50 million cedis as part of the Skills Training Programme (STP) of World Vision Ghana (WVG). Mr Ernest Ofori Asamoah, WVG Programme Officer in charge of youth sponsorship who presented the gifts, said the ceremony was the first phase of the project aimed at equipping the youth with skills. ''Their training, which included dressmaking, carpentry, masonry and hairdressing among others, is demand driven.''

Mr Asamoah said 150 million cedis would be spent on the entire programme to benefit some 170 unemployed youths including the needy and school dropouts.
