The statement said President John Agyekum Kufuor and Vice President Aliu Mahama would pay their respects as well.

The burial church service would take place between 0900 hours and 1100 hours after which the bodies would be buried at the Osu Cemetery. The doctors, Professor John Kwateboi Quartey; Dr Isaac Bentsi and Dr Benjamin Osei-Wiafe were killed in a motor accident on the Accra-Kumasi road on August 27, 2005 while they were returning from an outreach programme in Sunyani.
