Nana Godfred Makaa Maka Writes: Let's Take A Cue

On the 4th of June, I chanced on an article which was directed towards the internal attacks in our party. What has prompted my pen this afternoon is the tears we shared on that faithful day on 2013 when the Supreme Court declared that a well clear victory by Nana Akufo- Addo should not be upheld.

Have we thought about the daring implementation of the Free Shs, the daring implementation of the NABCO, the nurses and teacher training allowance restoration, massive infrastructure works, massive planting for food and jobs and other great works within this short period which could have been an offspring of the 2012 victory to have more greater offsprings in this present government. If you have forgotten, let me draw your mind back to the statement made by the president, the then candidate Nana Akufo- Addo; " whilst I disagree with the decision of the supreme court, I accept it".

This was a statement we all swallowed with a bitter pill. Is this not motivation enough for us to Unite and help the Government to achieve its aim whiles eschewing the back-bitings and innuendos becoming a normal practice in our great party.

We shouldn't forget the cries of the gallant foot soldiers, the market women, the students, the masons, the carpenters and masses who suffered under the incompetent eight years of NDC leadership, thus entrusting their developmental faith into the hands of the NPP.

Should a Chief Executive fail, should a Government Appointee fail, should a Board fail, should an MCE fail, should a Minister fail, the Government has failed. The Government is too big for one person to handle. So we must be guided that forever and United we build, divided we fall.

Do we need a soothsayer to tell us that success is achieved through unity? And that governments suffer destruction through backbitting and internal attacks? The time has come that we support whoever has been given a role to play towards the development of our nation being spearheaded by Our President Nana Addo and the NPP government. It is only through this that our goal and purpose as patriots will be actualised. Long live our Party . Let's unite now
