The campaign team of Mr Freddy Blay, New Patriotic Party, National Chairman Aspirant said its target was to win 70 per cent of popular votes at the forthcoming national delegates' congress.

'People are enthusiastic of our chances and ready to help. They meet us nicely. We want to win 100 per cent but this is election,' Mr Blay said, in an interaction with the media in Ho after meeting constituency executives.

He said after winning power for the Party in an acting Chairman position, he was the best candidate to be 'Chairman for the Party people' and retain the Party in power for the next 30 years to make Ghana the 'most developed' country in Africa.

Mr Blay urged constituency executives of the NPP to take advantage of government's 'One District, One Factory,' programme to support the local economy and grow the 'Party base.'

Mr Richard Nyamah, Spokesperson for Mr Blay said buses procured for the 'One constituency, One bus,' would arrive this month to resource all 275 constituencies.

He said proceeds from the buses, which would be run by professional driver unions on behalf of the constituencies, would be invested in other revenue generating activities to make the constituencies self-reliant.

Mr Nyamah said the 'Blay Campaign Team' also instituted a facility to empower women in the Party and urged the delegates to retain Mr Blay as Chairman of the NPP to build a strong Party capable of retaining power.
