About 18 students from the Indiana University Bloomington in the USA with varied academic background have toured the facility of Champion Divine Clinic to learn about herbal medicine.

The group who were young students were enthused about the scientific processes and administrative procedures used to administer herbal treatment for several diseases.

They also learnt about the technological aspect of the entire processes and how it is being used to manufacture the herbal medicine.

Kelvin Abraham Kwarteng, a Doctor at the Champion Divine Clinic said the visit was as result of the excellent services and treatment they offer to patients in the country.

He noted that the clinic has the best facility and highly qualified professionals who are trained to practice herbal medicine.

According to him, the clinic has the best technology and equipment to manufacture herbal medicines under very healthy and hygienic condition.

Doctor Abraham said the visit by the students is a demonstration of their hardwork and ethical practices in the field of herbal medicine as well as excellent service delivery.

The leader of the group, Nyama McCarthy-Brown PhD, a Professor at the Indiana University Bloomington said what prompted their visit is the healthcare system in Ghana which was a component of their course.

She noted that it was therefore important that students acquire first-hand information particularly about herbal medicine.

According to her, the students were a group of American students who were enrolled in a course titled, "Summer 2018 Study Abroad Program to Ghana Historical and Contemporary Cultures of Ghana."

Nyama McCarthy-Brown added that the course was funded in large part by the Office of the Vice President of Diversity Equity and Multicultural Affairs, and listed as a course in the African and African American Disapora Studies Department.

At the end of the visit, she indicated that the students learned about the technology component of herbal medicine practice at Champion Divine Clinic.

“In addition, they learned about your clientele, the cost for patients, and how technology is incorporated in to the diagnosis and treatment process,” Nyama McCarthy-Brown stated.

She emphasized that the team were very impressive about the way herbal medicine physicians use technology in relation to the tradition medicine to treat illnesses in Ghana.

Nyama McCarthy-Brown concluded that their impressions about Champion Divine Clinic were well established considering the level of professionalism, facility and highly man-technology for delivering healthcare to the people.
