Let the Dead bury themselves, says Catholic Priest and Illegal Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba

Who is this Catholic Priest and what are his legacies in UEW?

Events continue to unfold since the unfortunate academic misfortune hit the University of Education, Winneba, last year. The Catholic Priest, Rev. Prof. Afful-Broni whose ambitions to become a Vice-Chancellor at all cost continues to unravel his real character to the world in what I will call unknowing circumstances. Though he had earlier tried to establish his innocence by claiming that he was only doing what a court had asked him to do, his failure and refusal to leave office when his term of office as a Pro-VC expired raises more questions in the minds of many, with the exception of few retired professors who have neither published nor made an academic presentation within the last six (6) years and yet want to be hanging on to Contracts, contrary to University Regulations. A few other guys who are being promoted without academic merit as in the case of Isaac Brako who was promoted when the two external assessment reports were BAD are dancing around the priest and sees nothing wrong with regard to academic integrity. Other categories of staff of UEW that seems to be happy with the priest are those in the class of Richard Bampoe (who was relocated to a department to teach instead of sitting in IEDE office(s) and doing nothing). As for people like Bawah, Joshua and the likes, I leave them out for now. Any person who stand for quality in higher education will admit that this priest has reduced the University of Education to a place where quality is not respected. It is evident in the recent accelerated Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer promotions. The case of Domic Mensah remains a classic case of the mysterious academic exercises that are ongoing under this supposed Man of God. Promotions have been reduced to nothing and mediocrity now forms part of the promotion criteria of the University. I will entreat the National Council for Tertiary Education to do serious probing into the promotions on the University. As a professor whose own integrity has been questioned in terms of promotions and quality of papers (people virtually write and add his name, the reason for which he even had papers in peace and conflict), nothing should be left uncovered.

Is this Priest into Juju?
Dear reader, let me give you a synopsis of the Ag. VC, Rev. Prof. Afful-Broni of UEW as an alumnus and what others have told me and how Afful-Broni transmogrified into serious juju just to malign innocent people.

Once upon a time, a Catholic priest called Afful-Broni was employed by UEW and it was purported that he was a good man. It is claimed that Afful-Broni was loved by most of the UEW staff because of his vocation as a priest. He was made the Chaplain of UEW and later HOD then Dean. He smiles at you and you will give him your all from your pocket...but his smiles are never REAL. They are meant to get something from you! Those who know him not think of him as a good man, but he is choked with bitterness and knows not forgiveness in his heart. I wonder how such a person stands on the Alter to preach love, when he cannot love his Neighbour or forgive people who offend him. Even at the point of death, Jesus forgave...Even on the Cross he prayed for those who hurt him. The lack of love and place to forgive in his heart, coupled with his chasing of power makes me wonder if this is really a REAL Catholic Priest. As for lies, any of you who listened to his Press Conference will know the quantity of lies in his mouth. Someone who thought it was wrong to respond to a question on Dr Bekoe’s alleged threat of murder, was not good enough to know that setting a supposed disciplinary committee to be chaired by his boys like Asso Prof Ameyaw when the case was in court was illegal and wrong. God forgive him, for he knows not what he is doing!

One day, the spirit of greed and power entered Afful-Broni and he started doing things (which is a common knowledge) and through foul means he moved to the rank of Asso professor. Within 3 months into his associate Prof rank, he was nominated (because of his sycophancy) to stand for Pro VC election. I learned Afful-Broni won by about 67% of valid votes cast. Afful-Broni's greed started to move up so he wanted to occupy the VC position even though he was not qualified then. When the time was up for a new VC to enter the shoes of Prof. Asabere, the rule was bent by Asabere to let Afful-Broni to also apply, although he was an Asso Prof. Afful-Broni applied to be VC when he was not a full professor. Asabere has to fast track Afful-Broni's promotion to full prof by foul means with low standard papers.

After the search party didn't pick Afful-Broni as VC, Afful-Broni started to think evil but he wanted a second Pro VC term so he has to be nice to the one he competed with. The VC, Prof Avoke had good mind so he again nominated Afful-Broni for Pro VC and Afful-Broni won again with about 51% of the valid votes cast. One can see a reduction in his votes which may signify that his white cassock is turning black.

Afful-Broni still wanted the VC position so he has to now join forces with the devil incarnate, Alex Markin Afenyo to plan how to oust Prof Avoke. Afful-Broni and Afenyo roped in others to help. Their plans were not known to the interdicted officers and Afful-Broni and co (Supi Kofi Kwayera was just a conduit) could not go to court during the era of NDC government. When NPP took over power in 2016, Afful-Broni and co now roped in the Winneba high court judge, George Ato Graves-Mills. Justice George Ato Graves-Mills was to play a biased judicial role of which he did very well.

And now to the juju issue
Catholics are known to frown upon any form of worship that is not Christ-like. To this priest, his love for worldly things has made a different Catholic out of him. For Afful-Broni to survive the acting VC position for some months, he has to go into serious juju. There was a report of how he visited a Shrine which many doubted, but recent events are showing that he is really not far from those allegations. As of now, there is a dead bird (some say it is a vulture and others say it is an owl) hanging on a stick that is nailed to the top (1^st floor) of Afful-Broni's 1 story building at Assin Asempaye (Doubting thomases may wish to go see for themselves).

From the quarters of Alex and Afful-Broni, human sacrifices have to be done to augment the hanging dead bird. At the April 2018 congregation, Afful-Broni lied that Prof Okai went on official duty in China and died there. In the first place, there was no invitation from China to UEW and it will be very strange for Afful-Broni to tell the world that they (Alex Afenyo Markin, Afful-Broni and others) have sacrificed Prof Okai, the Principal of College of Technology. Mysterious enough is the fact that NEITHER this Priest nor the Council chairman was at the Funeral of Prof Okai. The late Prof Okai stood firmly behind them in the illegal moves to make Afful-Broni a VC. What does man fear and what is man running away from?

Recently, the death of the HOD of ICT education department has raised many questions in the minds of many people if something is not really wrong somewhere. Who is next to be sacrificed? It is high time the Almighty God sent his angels to stop Afful-Broni and his hoodlums from continuing their atrocities.

Three weeks Holidays in the United States of America?

This is a priest who once attacked management for misuse of University Fund. Today he is in the USA for three weeks Holidays with family members, at the expense of the university. Afful-Broni, I wish you the best as you stay in the States. Remember Prof Avoke is going through this trauma because of confidence he had in you as a colleague. Your betrayal, Fr shall haunt you for the rest of the days you have left to live on this EARTH. Your fabrications to implicate him especially with your supposed fact finding committee chaired by Professor Opoku Amankwah shall follow you and wake you up even when you are laid in your tomb. Projects done in 2015 and documents signed by people you see walking around are being pushed on an innocent and gentle Professor? Once I have taken my security gadgets with recordings of your late hour meetings at Administrative block and other places you thought were secret for you, you soon shall know that you are attacking an innocent professor and taking him for me. That shall be Number 13. More to follow soon! To your council chairman who has vowed never to do anything beneficiary to humanity, I wish him well and ask him to take a few minutes sometimes to reflect on his age, health and the bitterness he loads his heart with.
