Ejisu (Ash), Sept. 8, GNA - The Right Reverend Samuel Agyemang Kwakye, Bishop of the Effiduase diocese of the Methodist Church, has deplored the struggle for power in the Church.

He said the struggle for power was eroding the main focus of the Church, which centred on evangelisation and called on the ministers not to forget this important aspect of the Church's mission. He was speaking at a three-day camp meeting of the Ejisu circuit of the Methodist Church at Juaben at the weekend.

Rt Rev Kwakye advised members to stop their lust for worldly things and rather devote themselves to the word of God to win more souls for Christ.

The Very Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante, President of the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, asked all evangelist of the Church to show concern for preaching the word of God to the people. He also urged the church leaders to live exemplary lives for the members to emulate and also admonished them to realise that they were sinners who could be delivered only through Christ. The Reverend Alex Debrah Hammond, Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Akyawkrom circuit, advised parents not to expose their children to money at their early ages since it could lead them into danger.
