NPP Germany Branch Must Stand For Peace, Unity And Justice

During the campaign for the elections of the Branch National Executive Officers, the then candidate, and now, Chairperson of the Branch, Mrs. Rebecca A. Sarpong, urged those contesting for various positions to be circumspect for peace and unity to reign, and also pleaded to allow for free expression and healthy competition without insults and curses. In our homes, it is the responsibility of parents to properly nurture their children. And as a leader, who cares about her members, She issued statements advising members of our Branch to refrain from anything that will bring disunity, and which will hamper the progress of the Elephant family.

Even though some of our members adhered to her advice, there are those who deliberately sowed seeds of hatred and are still destroying the Branch for their personal gains.

The attributes of democracy in our Branch must be undertaken with sincerity and with the overall interest of the Branch as the driving force, and not the parochial interest of a group of our members. After all, the interest of NPP Germany Branch, should be paramount in all that we do.

As a leader who advocates for Peace, Unity and Strength, I write on behalf of the Chairperson, advising members of our Branch to come together as one family to raise the flag of our great Party. I will advise the members of our Branch to channel their energies in making the Branch united and peaceful, where law, rules, regulations and justice prevail.

I therefore endorse the call for unity made by the Former Chairman of the Branch, Rev. Alex Acheampong and it is also refreshing to note that, he has abandoned his recent video recording in Bremen, of which, he threatened to sanction members of our great party within his own power.

Peace is not just the absence of confrontation but is also establishing conditions which will ensure a lasting peace. This means eradicating the root cause of the conflict by gaining our self-determination, which in turn lays the foundation for justice, democracy and equality - the safeguards of lasting peace.

Creating artificial peace will not serve anybody’s interest. Patriots lets seek, pursue, and go after a genuine peace and avoid self-centered, self-serving peace that has no lasting value.

I would like to reassure all members of our party that, OBAATANPA is the name for the CHAIRPERSON of the Branch, and She is the mother for all. It is now time to implement policies that will complement the efforts of the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to develop Ghana.
