EURACARE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eurapharma, the healthcare arm of the CFAO Group, has officially opened its first diagnostics and heart centre in the country.

The health facility located on the Peter Ala Adjetey Avenue, North Labone, Accra, can boast of an extensive range of cutting-edge Siemens radiology modalities and a clinical laboratory with turn-around time for diagnosis delivery.

The clinic has specialty in non-invasive and interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, urology, erectile dysfunction, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, gynecology and antenatal care and dental services.

It also has full time internationally trained medical consultants who are ready to offer world-class services to patients.

Officially opening the healthcare facility, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, stated that having local quality facilities such as EURACARE Clinic is timely, as many Ghanaians face obstacles when travelling outside to seek medical attention.

She said the country is developing and, thus, needs such health facilities to care for the health needs of the growing middle-class so they can fully contribute to the growth of the nation.

Lady Julia, however, called on the management of the clinic to consider supporting people who genuinely cannot afford a world-class service. She mentioned that a quota of the revenue generated can be set aside as part of EUROCARE's corporate social responsibility to support these people.

Lady Julia Osei Tutu also advocated the quick expansion of the facility across the country, particularly in Kumasi, so those in the northern belt can benefit from the services they offer.

She also called for special services for children, reiterating that “you should consider setting up a similar facility for peadiatric care.”

The Managing Director of EURACARE, Dr Glenn de Villiers, stated that although CFAO is noted for its dealership in cars, it also has a strong arm in the medical field.

Dr Villiers said one of such initiatives is the establishment of EURACARE in the country to provide world-class service to Ghanaians who would otherwise travel outside the country for similar medical attention.

He added that since the facility was opened to the public last year, 968 new patients have visited the facility.

Dr Villiers disclosed that a similar health facility has been opened in Lagos, adding that the facility has the best doctors in the field to treat patients in Ghana.

Aymeric Erouart, Eurapharma director of medical services, hinted that with the new facility in Ghana and the other in Lagos, EURACARE's reach in West Africa is beginning to take shape.

He expressed his gratitude to all whose service and dedication have helped to establish the facility.
