..AGAINST CALLING POLITICAL OPPONENTS “EVIL” !!!. The 2004 CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi and the first Ghanaian born to run for Mayor of Los Angeles, Mr. Kwame Appiah Boateng, alias (“Kwame Mayor”) has cautioned both former President Jerry John Rawlings and President John Agyekum Kufuor against publicly calling their political opponents “evil” which breeds political hatred and seriously affects the political development of Ghana as a democracy.

The U.S. educated and trained democrat who is [perhaps], the first indigenous African to run for a higher public office in the history of America, reminded the NDC and NPP stalwarts and influential leaders that in a democracy nobody is above the law and since Ghana has settled on the noble ideals and ideas of democracy, the President and former President are [not] above the law just as ordinary or the less powerful Ghanaians are not above the law.

Boateng, who reportedly [with the help of the brave and freedom-loving people of America] stood up like the “Biblical David” in 1999 against a [few] political terrorists in America who had tried to use every available tools of a “Super Power” to oppress and persecute him but were morally defeated by the Ghanaian born international Politician, – (thanks to the White House under former President Bill Clinton which asked the Justice Department to investigate allegations of persecution against Boateng) - said there is no distinction between “First World Democracy” and “Third World Democracy” – “Democracy is Democracy, period”, said Boateng, a fervent crusader of Freedom, Justice, Equality and Multi-Party Democracy”.

“ Defenseless people cannot be bullied with threatening statements, such as the “capability of a “Third World” government to retaliate and the “capacity of such “Third World” government to “respond to its critics” --- while the powerful escape such threats, said Boateng.

Ø It should be recalled that Minority Leader, Hon. Alban Bagbin recently expressed concern over President John Agyekum Kufuor's alleged use of “evil” against his political opponents.

Ø Former President Jerry John Rawlings is alleged to have described President John Agyekum Kufuor as “evil” at a rally just before the recent – Odododiodioo by-election. The CPP firebrand said such public use of hate words are unfortunate since they tend to influence the children and the youth of this Country who are our future leaders !!!.
