Mr Pius Agyemang, a Journalist and radio broadcaster has been confirmed dead in a gory accident which happened at Akwatiakrom, near Nsuta, Ahafo-Ano South District of Ashanti Region on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway on Monday.
Mr Agyemang, a staff of Shallom Radio, a Berekum-based local FM station was travelling from Sunyani to Kumasi with 15 other passengers in a Ford Transit mini bus with registration number AS 7257-15.
He was a stringer of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) stationed at Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality of Brong-Ahafo Region.
The GNA investigations showed that the Ford bus collided head-on with a Cargo truck with registration number GR 2624-14, which was coming from the opposite direction, killing 12 other passengers on the spot.
His body has since been deposited at the Duayaw-Nkwanta St John of God Catholic Hospital in the Tano North Municipality of Brong-Ahafo Region. Mr Jephat Owusu Amankwaa, a colleague of Mr Agyemang who confirmed the story to the GNA on Tuesday said Management of the Radio Station had informed the bereaved families.
