Mr Oduro Ampaw, the Assembly Member for New Weija Electoral Area, has called on the Weija Gbawe Municipal Assembly to urge owners of pigs at Weija Ayigbe Town to relocate their animals.

He said the animals were nuisance to residents and noted that some pigs chewed part of the body of a seven-year-old girl about three months ago, which he said was reported to the Assembly for action, but to no avail.

Mr Ampaw who made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the weekend said; 'it is not good for pigs and human beings to live together because the animals sometimes entered peoples' rooms and destroyed their items and this is very disturbing.'

He appealed to the Assembly to as a matter of urgency protect the residents from the nuisance being caused by the animals.
