An Accra Circuit Court has remanded Karb Inusah, a 25-year-old trader who was put before it on the charges of conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.

Karb was said to have conspired with one Alhassan and another now at large and robbed one Lauretta Otchere at gun point of her iPhone 6plus mobile phone worth GH¢ 2,000.00, one Samsung mobile phone worth GH¢ 700.00, one sun glasses worth GH¢ 100.00, one ladies hand bag worth GH¢ 500.00 and a make-up kits valued GH¢ 200.00.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges and has been remanded by the court presided over by Mr Aboagye Tandoh to reappear on May 22.

Prosecuting, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Cletus Abadamlora told the court that the complainant, Lauretta Otchere is the Deputy Director-General of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

The second complainant, Ama Otiwaa Ofori Atta is her cousin and both resides at Tesano, Accra.

He said the third complainant is a driver living at Adarbraka, while Karb is a trader living in Aboabo in Kumasi and Alhassan and one other accomplice now at large.

He said on February 17, at about 00:05 hours, the complainants on board an Audi Q7 car had just alighted a family member at Tesano when the accused and his accomplices welding AK 47 rifle and a pistols who had lay ambush surfaced and attacked the complainants in the car.

The prosecution said Alhassan who was holding an AK 47 rifle stood in front of the car and instructed the driver not to move while Karb at gun point seized the items afore-mentioned.

DSP Abadamlora said Karb again robbed the Ama of her Samsung note 3 mobile phone valued at $600.00, while the third accomplice also took position to ward off any possible intruders.

After the incident they reported to the Police.
He said on April 26, Police intelligence led to the arrest of Karb at Aboabo in Kumasi. It also revealed that after the robbery Karb started using the iPhone 6 plus until his arrest.
