$6M CENTRE TO BE BUILT IN THEIR MEMORY

The Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is going to establish a $6 million Urology Centre in honour of the three urologists who perished in last Saturday's accident on the Accra-Kumasi Road.

The urologists had, until their death, submitted drawings for the project to the management of the hospital. Land has been provided near the Fevers Unit of the hospital for the purpose.

When completed the centre will serve as a training ground for doctors, nurses, laboratory and radiology technicians, among others.

Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, the chief executive of the hospital, said in an interview yesterday that the management was trying to source funds for it to take off, adding that the greatest memory to the deceased would be to fast-track the construction of the centre to honour them.
