What am I reading, NPP bigwigs going on their knees to beg fuming Asantehene? My eyes keep blinking. No, let me get my pair of glasses. I reached my upper coat’s pocket for it; put it on and then began to read the story.  On reaching the end of the third paragraph, I paused. The anger within me started boiling like the water in a plugged electrical kettle reaching its maximum temperature at which the power to the kettle is programmed to cut off automatically without failing else, a disaster ensues.

What was the cause of the fury by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, alias King Solomon, but whose Solomonic wand has never worked successfully unlike that of his biblical counterpart King Solomon? Without the specifics published which further placed me in a more difficult situation and got me more annoyed, guessing what they could be, the publication simply stated in paragraph 2 the purported cause as, “The plea for forgiveness follows an outburst by the Asantehene that there are active attempts by some people close to government to pitch him against the Akyems”. Had I not recently published an article on how smart Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is for the fact of being a crook and that all crooks are smart? Who are the people close to the NPP government that are actively attempting to pitch him against the Akyems? Can he come forward to mention their names and what exactly they are doing or have done?

He is using his tactical ploys to get the NPP to succumb to his demands in veneration, although such demands may not augur well in the interest of the nation and especially, the people of Kumawuman, as regards the ongoing Kumawu chieftaincy dispute in which he is dubiously neck-deep involved. I am aware of a move he has recently made to influence a government machinery to fling their weight behind him in expectation of intimidating and twisting justice in his favour with regard to the Kumawu chieftaincy cases pending before the courts.

However, as he seems not to have his way as he used to have under the government of his “yen ntie obiaa” buddy, former President John Dramani Mahama, he thinks the way forward is to scare the NPP government by his public outbursts to get the government keel over so he can have his way. Has he not achieved a degree of success by the NPP bigwigs running to prostrate to him for forgiveness? 

Today, I am going to spare John Boadu and his ilk unprintable words but next time, they will hear from me when I explode in anger. Is Ghana a democratic country or we are still a monarchy where Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II should uniquely be revered out of all the chiefs in Ghana? Instead of John Boadu being of a tidy mind in his interactions with party supporters, his arrogant attitudes toward some NPP grassroots since NPP came into power, had given me the chance to castigate him in two of my publications directed for his attention. No wonder that he is running to Asantehene to bless him to win the impending NPP General Secretary position.  

Asantehene has no blessings for all those NPP bigwigs who run to him for such his non-existing powers or favours. The other day it was the Attorney General, Ms.  Glory Akuffo, and today, it is John Boadu. If you are seeking any blessings, I shall rather entreat you to go on your knees before God Almighty to make supplications to him through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. He is the one who can give you a lasting blessing but not a criminal who reaps from where he has not sown; depriving the poor and the needy of their source of livelihood and birth right.

By his diversionary tactical outbursts, he seeks to court the sympathy of the government and hence be allowed unhindered access to government machineries to use to achieve his diabolical intents. Who is pitting him against the Akyems? This is the figment of his warped imagination. Many are the Ashantis that are fed up with his dodgy character in daily exhibition and would even want him out of the Manhyia Palace and off the Golden Stool hence the recent bout of WhatsApp audio messages rebuking him for his waywardness.

If the NPP gurus are hurtling to knee before him pleading for mercy, what will they do when the wrath of God comes to bear heavily upon should they dare intervene to twist justice in the ongoing Kumawu chieftaincy dispute in his favour? If the supposedly NPP bigwigs will run to fall face flat before Asantehene beseeching his pardon, then God save NPP.

Gone are the olden days when kingdoms went to war against others with the aim of defeating them to take their lands and subjects for booty! Again, NPP must bear in mind that they won Ashanti region massively not because of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II but because of the willingness by individual Ashantis to identify with the NPP Elephant fraternity because of their political vision and the integrity of Nana Akufo-Addo.

Finally, I shall advise those being manipulated by him through the seeking of his blessings to rather know how to relate to people regardless of their social status. They must also understand their job since it is not by Asanthene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s blessings that they can execute their jobs with distinction if they are already misfits in their positions.

God is in control of the situation. NPP should not fall for Asantehene’s craftiness to get them to do his wishes which are, but evil. There is no any bad blood between the Ashantis and the Akyems so we are not ready to buy into the trickeries of Asantehene to enhance his chances of getting away with blue murder all of the time.

The fight to liberate Ghanaians from official corruption and to ensure a clean break from the evils of former President Mahama that strengthened the monstrosity in Asantehene continues unabated.
