Bawa-Motgari, Your Cousin Mahama Is A Con-Artist Nonpareil
04.05.2018 LISTEN

If I were Mr. Peter Amewu, the Lands and Natural Resources Minister, I would have invited former President John Dramani Mahama to my office and delivered that aging dirty bastard some dozen slaps to stir up his thinking cap (See “Describing Mahama as Conman 'Disrespectful' – Bawa-Motgari” Classfmonline.com / Ghanaweb.com 4/30/18). Calling the former President “a conman” was actually the politest form of greeting with which Mr. Amewu, who has been sweating profusely to arrest the wanton ecological destruction wreaked by the Galamseyers, could address the man who has done far more to devalue Ghana's Presidency than any leader that our beloved nation has had since independence.

Well, for those of our readers who may not have readily caught on with the foregoing allusion, or reference, it has to do with last Saturday's so-called Unity Walk, sponsored by operatives of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), during which rally Mr. Mahama was widely reported by the media to have questioned the intelligence and common sense of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for appropriating the services of members of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to healthily and constructively arrest the deleterious impact of small-scale illegal mining in the country.

Grossly and recklessly disregarding the verifiable fact that President Akufo-Addo established at least one viable employment alternative for these illegal small-scale miners prior to deploying the Operation Vanguard team of environmental protectors, the former Rawlings' Communications Minister questioned the “wisdom” of “chasing the young people involved in illegal small-scale mining with soldiers.” The fact of the matter is that Nana Akufo-Addo has established the Planting for Food and Jobs Program, which seeks to more productively and wisely engage the energies of these same young people whom the erstwhile Mahama government callously denied fee-free access to our Senior High School System, in order to meaningfully advance themselves socioeconomically and culturally.

The Gonja-West native, from Bole-Bamboi, in the Northern Region, says that “We've chased young people involved in illegal small-scale mining with soldiers in the past in this country, but it didn't work.” Well, it didn't work precisely because unlike Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr. Mahama woefully lacked the creative thinking and foresight to realize beforehand that he needed to have created viable employment opportunities for these illegal small-scale miners, otherwise known as Galamseyers, long before going after the recalcitrant ones with the coercive apparatus of the State. Then again, what kind of “respect” does such an unconscionable moral reprobate deserve from any Ghanaian citizen, let alone from the man who has done far more to positively arrest the harmful ecological impact of Galamsey in barely a year, than the Mahama-led government of the National Democratic Congress did in four-and-half years?

Yes, Mr. Mahama is an unconscionable reprobate because, on the one hand, he fully recognizes the fact that the predatory activities of these Galamseyers threaten the very existence and humanity of Ghanaians, and yet he sees absolutely no “wisdom” in constructively using the coercive apparatus of the State, in the form of the deployment of some members of the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ghana Police Service, to reverse this deadly situation, in order to “regreen” our environment and to ensure the future stability, survival and comfort of Ghanaian humanity. Indeed, not only did former President Mahama criminally insult the intelligence, common sense and dignity of his successor, he also insulted the intelligence and wisdom of Mr. Amewu, the Lands and Natural Resources Minister, and Ghanaians at large.

Not surprisingly, Mr. Mahama has also scandalously exposed himself for the veritable political thug and charlatan that he has long been known to be. Recently, for example, it came to light that the Ford Expedition Payola Scam-Artist had presided over a battalion of cabinet appointees the overwhelming bulk of whom were paid double salaries for scarcely performing even single jobs creditably. This is the felonious con-artist that his cousin Joyce Bawa-Motgari would have the Lands and Natural Resources Minister apologize to for, literally, putting Mr. Mahama in his place, by calling this pathological conman by the real name with which his parents ought to have christened and baptized him.
