Health Professionals Would Not Sign Up To NABCO - NAHSAG

By National Health Students Association of Ghana
Press Release Health Professionals Would Not Sign Up To NABCO - NAHSAG
MAY 2, 2018 LISTEN

The front desk of the National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG) by this release wishes to state clearly the rejection of governments initiative to employ health personnel under the HEAL GHANA module, Nation Builders Corps.

We want to reiterate that all our members should remain calm and resist the temptation of signing up onto the module even though government has launched the policy today, May 1, 2018. A portal or link has been made available to signup for this life threatening initiative but caution should be taken with respect to that. If you signup, you’re doing that at your own peril.

OUR PATHWAY AS NAHSAG, GNMTA, OTHER HEALTH UNIONS AND ALL OTHER STAKE HOLDERS:

A demonstration will be staged in Accra to carry forward our dissatisfaction and declination of this ‘modern day slavery’ policy government is implementing. A petition shall be presented to H.E Dr. Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic on the issue at hand as well.

DETAILS OF THE UPCOMING DEMONSTRATION:
Date: Monday, May 7, 2018.
Time: 7:00am prompt.
Meeting Point: Obra Spot (Circle).
Ending Point: Hearts of Oak Park.
We’re calling on all our members and other health union members from the public and private institutions across the length and breadth of this country to join this very important historical event. There’s the need for us to come out in our numbers to embark on a peaceful march to demand for permanent employment, we don’t need any three (3) year employment contracts.

We at the front office of NAHSAG will keep updating all our members on any happenings before and after the demonstration day.

We anticipate your unflinching cooperation and collective support for the realization of a successful demonstration.

NAHSAG: United for Health!
Thank you!
