Press Release Congratulations To Chairman Kwaku Nkansah And His Team!
MAY 2, 2018 LISTEN

The NPP-UK Branch has once again made history by coming out successfully in the Branch elections last Sunday, April 29, 2018. Like the previous elections, the 2018 polls never passed without the usual political hullabaloo. However, what is so unique about the NPP-UK Branch elections is that, both the winners and the losers usually come together, put the Party's overall interest above their personal ones to portray to the world that, the NPP is the winner.

Admittedly, losing an election is a bitter experience, looking at the cost involved in the campaign, but as politicians, we must always bear in mind that, a single position cannot be occupied by all at the same time. It is against this background that I urge all to have big hearts to accommodate what I call; "political hazards", that is, the insults, harsh words, propaganda, criticisms, etc, that go with elections.

A cursory look at the list of winners shows that, the Branch is geared toward real action; an action that could not only promote unity of the Branch, but also to mobilize all kinds of resources - human, material, finance, to support the mother Party and retain power in 2020 and beyond.

The NPP-UK Branch is now at a crossroad with the proliferation of Chapters and the planned implementation of ROPAL and dual citizenship. Therefore, the election of Kwaku Nkansah as the Branch Chairman cannot be said to be accidental.

Kwaku, having worked with all the Chapters as a deputy Organiser and Organiser respectively, knows the challenges and opportunities of the Chapters. He has the requisite capacity - knowledge, intellect, demeanor, and organisational acumen to transform the Branch for better. Paa Nii, as popularly called, cuts across the age group and with the calibre of people in his team - Jojo (1st Vice Chair), Wofa K (2nd Vice Chair), Dr Dacosta (Secretary), Richmond Boateng (Organiser), Shirley Kyei (Women's Organiser) and Richard Gyamfi (Youth Organiser), coupled with Allah's guidance and blessings, I see no reason why he and the team would fail.

It is my expectation that, the Executive Board would extend invitations to some of the defeated candidates - Nana Gyebi, Jennifer, Andy, and Aisha by way of appointments in order to tap some of their knowledge, policies and ideas for the overall benefit of the Branch.

Once again, I say congratulations to all of us.
May Allah, the Most Gracious, Ever Merciful bless us all!

Long live NPP-UK Branch!
Long live NPP!!
Long live Ghana!!!
