Atwima People Protest Against the Destoolment of their Chief whileKumwuman People Cowardly Stay Mute

I was shocked beyond belief when I received a media coverage of the achievements by Atwimahene Nana Antwi Agyei Brempong II on my WhatsApp page last night, Friday, 20 April 2018. I said to myself wow!, are there farsighted chiefs still in Ghana who seek the collective welfare of their subjects and are ready to build their towns or divisions as has been done by the deposed Atwimahene?

I wish I could attach the WhatsApp video to this publication. Anyway, it may soon appear on the YouTube. What interested me most is the mobilization of some subjects of Atwima to protest against the destoolment of the chief by the Ceremonial Head of Asanteman, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who claims to be, and is ignorantly accepted by many an Ashanti, as the Overlord of Asanteman with unlimited powers to do as he wants when he wants.

If Otumfuo Osei Tutu II had done a quarter of what the destooled chief has done, I don’t think he would have become the most disgraced and insulted Asantehene in the annals of Asanteman chieftaincy. The people should resist the diabolic action by Otumfuo and do exactly as done by the people of Esumaja. They declared without mincing words that they did not like the person Otumfuo had collusively imposed on them as their Omanhene. They chased that person out of the town and sealed the gates of the palace until today. We should not allow him to have his own corrupt way all of the time.

I pity the people of Kumawu, once renowned for their bravery as outstanding Asante warriors. They are now more than cowards who easily recoil into their shell as does a snail or tortoise when prodded with a stick or touched. Asantehene has ABSOLUTELY NO TRADITIONAL RIGHT to involve himself in Kumawu chieftaincy affairs let alone, collude with Kumawuhemaa and other corrupt Asanteman chiefs to impose an ineligible “royal” candidate on Kumawuman as their paramount chief.

As corrupt and a crook as he is, he had used the police and other corrupt government appointees to instil fear in the people in attempts to have his way contrary to Kumawu and Asanteman tradition and custom.

To the Ananangya and the Odumase royals of Kumawu, let this wise adage be known to you, “Se odehyie anko a, akoa dwane”. Literary translated as, “If the royal fails to participate in, or lead the battle, the subjects will run away or abandon the battle”. Everyone now knows throughout Asanteman, if only they will be honest with themselves, that the Ananangyas and the Odumases are the true royals with same matrilineal lineage to Barima Tweneboa Kodua I, the originator of the Kumawu Kodua stool. They all descended from the same great, great, great grandmother Sene Fontom. However, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, overflowing with corruption and superfluous desire to enrich himself dubiously, has rather made the Kumawu Ankaase royals the true royals of Kumawu. He is a complete joke.

As long as God continues to give me strength and long life, I shall never cease to expose the shenanigans by this Asantehene who is resolutely determined to re-write the history of Kumawuman to serve his selfish insatiable criminal desires.

For the attention of the Ananangyas and the Odumases, it is said, “Once bitten, two shy”. You are still resting on your oars, hoping against hope and trusting God to rain manna from heaven to feed you as done to the Israelites on the desert for forty years when they were on their way to the promised land, Canaan.

Will you learn a lesson from the Atwima people in support of their destooled chief? Will Kumawuman subjects cease the apathy to assume their warrior quality to resist Asantehene from criminally trying his hardest to rob Kumawuman of their rich history, money and resources in a broad daylight?

It really pisses me off to hear Asantehene accuse Atwimahene of lying to the Golden stool and selling lands illegally. Look at the pot telling the kettle you are black. Who has lied to the Golden Stool and dubiously sold lands in Asanteman more than himself? Is by asserting that the Ankaases are of the same matrilineal lineage as Barima Tweneboa Kodua I, not the mother of all lies? Is by involving himself dubiously in Kumawu chieftaincy affairs whereas he has no traditional or customary right to do that not a lie? Accepting bribes from Kumawuhemaa, his once girlfriend and conniving to expropriate Kumawu stool lands for his personal use not criminal and a lie? If there were any power in the Golden Stool that he occupies, it should have killed him long ago.

The Atwima people should resist him and he will flee from their land. The bible says in James 4: 7 –“ Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”. The Kumawu Ananangya and Odumase royals can choose to remain cowards, sitting on the fence saying, “Nyame beye” (God will provide) but the Atwima people are being encouraged by me and they have my support to resist the no.1 crook in Asanteman in the person of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, born as Kwaku Duah.

Has Asantehene and his band of criminals become aware of the social media incitation to destool him by some aggrieved Ashanti youth because of his incompetence but overflowing love of corruption? He had better make his phone number available for people to share such bitterly expressed views with him. The tide will soon turn against Asantehene himself.

The Atwimahene has done far better things for his subjects than Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has done for Asanteman. Otumfuo has presided over the dilapidation of Kumasi and Asanteman.

How is the new Asantehemaa? I have heard a rumour about her about two months ago. I believe the source but I will not disclose what I have heard. Is she well and alive? I wish her well.

Kumawuman subjects, Asantehene has stolen your stool farmlands at the Afram Plains hence his irreversible determination to impose Dr Yaw Sarfo, that puppet on Kumawuman as their Omanhene. As long as Asantehene has no right to do what he has done, I shall continually expose him and plans will be hatched to take him on more drastically. I am compiling more facts. Some people have started a movement on the social media to destool him and the end of him is not far away. Although I am not part of the movement yet, they have my blessings and support.

Atwima people, bar him and his agents and assigns from stepping in your town. He cannot use the police to molest you under the government of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo since he believes in the human rights of people to the letter and spirit of the rights. Shame on him!
