Sennacherib was a King of Assyria. He was the son and successor of Sargon. [Sargon] His name in the original is read as _Tsinakki_ - _irib_ meaning he wasn't the first born of his father.

Let us get into the nitty-gritty of Sennacherib's adventure.

What was Sennacherib's story?
As king of Assyria, Sennacherib intentions were to crush king Hezekiah of Judah and citizenry of Jerusalem.

As if it was enough. He downplayed the power of God. How ?

Sennacherib wrote a letter to King Hezekiah disrespecting God and challenging the people to prove themselves right if they have a God to deliver them from the war

While he was planning the war, the Lord heard prayers from king Hezekiah and Prophet Elisha.

And when things turned around God delivered His people from the evil plot of Sennacherib.

God defeated Sennacherib on behalf of His people.
Sennacherib's arrogance, pride likewise evil thoughts caused his death.

Today, don't be surprise when you notice an attitude of a Sennacherib around you.

Sennacheribs could be anywhere at any time.
