Airforce Basic School Receives Support From 'Young Advocate'

The 'Young Advocate', a leading children's newspaper in the Western and Central Regions has donated a bill board to the Airforce Station Basic School, one of its subscriber schools in Takoradi in the Western Region.

Young Advocate also builds the capacity of about 200 teachers, on "Successful Goal Setting".

The beneficiary teachers are mainly members of the Ghana Armed Forces Teachers Association (GAFTA) of the 2 Garrison Education Unit.

Prior to the presentation, the Paper donated a silver trophy to the 2Garisson Education Officer, Major Livingstone Penti to support this year's Sports Festival to be held later in the year.

Major Livingstone Penti who received the trophy on behalf of the Unit commended the management of the Young Advocate for the various supports to the Unit and pledged the support of his outfit to the paper.

Reverend Seth Ameyaw Danquah, Managing Editor of the Young Advocate, said the donations and the capacity building formed part of its social responsibility in giving back to its patrons and empowering its business partners for an improved society.

He hinted that the vision of the paper was to be the leading advocate of young people's interest and educational promotion, and for that matter would continue to promote the interest of young people in a multicultural environment through advocacy, impartation of knowledge and education.
