The Office of the Communications Minister has described an inflammatory publication against Muslims as fake and intended to cause disaffection between the Minister, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and the Muslim community.
A statement issued on Tuesday, April 17th by the Communications Specialist of the Ministry of Communications, Sandra Frimpong, indicated that the minister has not uttered and will not subscribe to the views of any person relating to the subject matter.
“The Office of the Communications Minister takes a strong view of the fake religious reportage making rounds intended to ruin the peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians,” the statement reads.

URSULA TAKES STRONG VIEW ON FAKE ‘INTOLERABLE MUSLIMS’ STORY
The attention of the Office of the Communications Minister has been drawn to a malicious reportage circulating on social mainstream media that the minister has described Muslims as intolerable.
The report is palpable falsehood and well-calculated by miscreants to create disaffection between the Minister, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and the Muslim community. The Minister has not uttered and will never subscribe to the views of any person relating to the subject matter.
The Office of the Communications Minister takes a strong view of the fake religious reportage making rounds intended to ruin the peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians.
The office strongly cautions persons who have made it their preoccupation to publish falsehood and create disaffection between the minsister and any religious group to desist from such reckless and tribalistic reports. Persons responsible for such publications should recognize and be reminded that they are liable to prosecution under the laws of the country.
The Office, therefore, takes recognition of the apology rendered by www.ghanacrusader.com (initiator of the falsehood), www.peacefmonline.com , amongst others and demands a retraction and apology from the other platforms to avoid any further actions. The Honourable minister has and will continuously work with all persons devoid of their religious affiliations to move Ghana beyond aid.
